100% VG E-Liquids

Fancy some proper 100% VG vape juice? You've found the right spot. Pure VG e-liquids are known for delivering dense vapour clouds, and are perfect options for those who have an intolerance to PG. So, explore our collection of high VG e-liquids, featuring brands like the popular Frugi range.

What Is 100% VG E-liquid?

Vegetable Glycerine (VG) is one of the main ingredients found in e-liquid, alongside Propylene Glycol (PG), flavourings, and optional nicotine. 100% VG e-liquid means the base mixture contains only Vegetable Glycerine, with no Propylene Glycol.

Key characteristics of 100% VG e-liquids include:

  • Thicker Consistency: VG is significantly more viscous (thicker) than PG.
  • Smoother Throat Hit: Pure VG provides a very smooth inhale, with minimal throat sensation compared to liquids containing PG.
  • Large Vapour Clouds: VG is primarily responsible for vapour production, so 100% VG liquids produce dense, large clouds.
  • Subtler Flavour: While VG carries flavour, it's generally considered less effective at doing so than PG. Flavours in 100% VG liquids might seem slightly muted or sweeter compared to PG blends.
  • PG Sensitivity: Ideal for vapers who have a sensitivity or allergy to Propylene Glycol.

What Types of 100% VG E-liquid Do You Sell on This Page?

On this page, we exclusively offer 100% VG Shortfills.

  • Shortfills: These are larger bottles of nicotine-free e-liquid (e.g., 50ml of liquid in a 60ml bottle, or 100ml in a 120ml bottle). They are deliberately underfilled to leave space for you to add separate nicotine shots if desired.

Who Should Use 100% VG E-liquids?

100% VG e-liquids are best suited for specific types of vapers:

  • Cloud Chasers: Vapers who prioritise maximum vapour production will enjoy the dense clouds produced by high VG liquids.
  • Direct-To-Lung (DTL) Vapers: The smooth inhale and high vapour output are ideal for DTL vaping styles, typically used with more powerful, sub-ohm devices.
  • Vapers with PG Sensitivity: If you experience irritation, coughing, or allergic reactions when using standard PG/VG blends, 100% VG offers a PG-free alternative.

Beginners using standard starter kits or pod systems should generally avoid 100% VG liquids, as their thickness can cause wicking issues.

How Do I Use 100% VG Shortfills?

Using shortfills is straightforward:

  1. Purchase: Select your desired 100% VG shortfill flavour.

  2. Add Nicotine (Optional): If you want nicotine in your e-liquid, you'll need to purchase separate 10ml nicotine shots (often called nic shots). These typically come in 18mg or 20mg strengths.

  3. Calculate: Determine how many nic shots you need to achieve your desired overall nicotine strength. For example: Adding one 18mg 10ml nic shot to a 50ml shortfill (in a 60ml bottle) results in 60ml of 3mg e-liquid. On the other hand, adding two 18mg 10ml nic shots to a 100ml shortfill (in a 120ml bottle) results in 120ml of 3mg e-liquid.

  4. Mix: Remove the nib/cap from the shortfill bottle. Squeeze the entire contents of the nic shot(s) into the shortfill bottle.

  5. Shake: Replace the nib/cap securely and shake the bottle vigorously for a minute or two to ensure the nicotine is evenly distributed throughout the thicker VG liquid. It's often beneficial to let the mixture steep for a short while (hours to days) for the best results, especially with thick VG liquids.

  6. Vape: Fill your pod or tank and enjoy.

What Kind of Vape Kit Is Needed for 100% VG E-liquid?

Due to its high viscosity (thickness), 100% VG e-liquid requires specific hardware for optimal performance. You should use:

  • Sub-Ohm Vape Kits: These are more powerful devices designed for Direct-To-Lung (DTL) vaping.
  • Tanks with Large Wicking Ports: Sub-ohm tanks designed for high-VG liquids have larger openings in their coil heads to allow the thick liquid to saturate the cotton effectively, preventing dry hits.
  • Lower Resistance Coils: Coils with a resistance below 1.0 ohm (sub-ohm coils) are necessary to handle the power required to vaporise thick VG liquid efficiently.
  • Adjustable Airflow: Devices with wide-open airflow are preferred for the DTL style typically used with 100% VG.

Avoid using 100% VG e-liquid in:

  • Basic starter kits (pen-style devices)
  • Pod systems designed for Mouth-To-Lung (MTL) vaping
  • Tanks with small wicking holes or high-resistance coils (+1.0 ohm)

Using 100% VG liquid in incompatible devices will likely lead to poor wicking, burnt-tasting 'dry hits', and premature coil failure.

What are the benefits of vaping 100% VG E-Liquid?

Choosing 100% VG types of vape juice offers several advantages:

  • Massive Vapour Production: The primary reason many vapers choose high VG or 100% VG is for the significant increase in cloud size and density.
  • Smoothness: Provides an exceptionally smooth inhale with minimal throat hit, which many DTL vapers prefer.
  • PG Intolerance Solution: It's the perfect option if you have sensitivities or allergies to Propylene Glycol.
