The Nautilus Coils are some of the most reliable and satisfying MTL coils. While other manufacturers race towards the lowest ohmages possible, the Nautilus Coils offer resistances as high as 1.8ohms, a high-resistance coil perfect for tight mouth-to-lung draws.

There’s even a 0.4ohm coil for when you fancy giving the old sub-ohm plumes a try, making the Nautilus range remarkably versatile. However, it should be noted that it’s very much an MTL range with only one sub-ohm unit available.

It might bear old design hallmarks such as screw-in installation, but the Aspire Nautilus Coil range has more than earned its place in the halls of vaping legend.

HorizonTech tanks are some of the best in the cloudy kingdoms. Built for excessive plumes that carry great flavour, the heart of each tank is a HorizonTech coil, and the Falcon 2 replacement coils are some of their best.

The Falcon 2 Coils only come in a single resistance, a shame, but 0.14ohms has a cloud potential that few other coils can rival. In this instance, variety isn’t a spice we’re interested in.

The coils have a uniquely fan-shaped conical mesh weave within, which funnels the vapour up to the drip tip faster and prevents e-liquid condensation within the tank, ensuring you get all your e-liquid.

Novel wicks are also utilised, blending the standard organic cotton and 30% tree pulp contents, resulting in longer-lasting coils.

Voopoo’s TPP Coil series followed from the PnP range, intended for use in slightly larger vape pods for dedicated DTL vaping.

The TPP Coils aren’t compatible with PnP Pods, as they’ve been built slightly wider than their older counterparts. While this may be irritating, the increased interior surface area of the TPP Coils results in an increasing heating speed.

Faster heating results in faster vapourisation and more vapour! With 0.2ohm and 0.15ohm units available, it’s a range only intended for DTL use and achieves it with stunning confidence.

The push-to-fit installation method returns here to great effect, meaning you don’t have to bother with awkward unscrewings when you need a fresh coil.

We recommend gently priming the Voopoo TPP Coils, as while they are designed for convenient use, you will want to ensure the high wattages don’t burn the cotton you’ll be putting them through.

Innokin is a manufacturer prized for its simple designs and user-friendly products. While their starter kits and tanks are superb for any new vaper, a big part of what makes kits like the Coolfire Z60 vape kit so satisfying is the excellent coil quality.

The Innokin Z Coils – sometimes referred to as the Zlide or Zenith Coils – were some of the first push-to-fit coils in the industry. Small yet effective, the Z Coils use traditional kanthal heating elements and organic cotton wicks.

There are three ohmages available – 0.48ohms, 0.8ohms and 1.6ohms – which opens the doors to most styles of vaping. It should be noted, though, that the Z Coils are primarily intended for thin e-liquid and MTL vaping.

Due to both the top-quality construction and the relatively low wattage range you’ll be putting the Z Coils through, they tend to have some of the longest-lasting vape coils.

Kanthal has long been the standard heating material used in vape coils, and we feel that the Uwell Caliburn G2 Coils put it to the best use.

The G2 Coils are remarkably thin, possibly the smallest coils we’ve encountered so far, and fit easily into the Caliburn G2 Pods. Aligning the coils is easy thanks to a slightly flat portion of the coil’s base, which lines up with the edge of the pod base.

The Caliburn G2 Coils provide a deeply satisfying MTL inhale, with a mesh interior which rapidly absorbs e-liquid and atomises it without imparting any foul flavour upon your favourite e-liquid.

While the wicking ports on the coil are a little too thin to allow for priming, you likely won’t be doing much of that as the coils are only intended for high-PG e-liquid. The higher resistance of 1.2 ohms helps confirm which kind of vaping the mesh coils are intended for.
