Vape Pods

Efficient, convenient and astoundingly easy to use, vape pods have fundamentally changed the way we look at vaping and are slowly becoming more popular than vape tanks that use coils.

These neat little guys provide most if not all of the features of a conventional vape tank, but in a much more ergonomic way. So MIST wouldn’t be worth its nic salt if we didn’t have you covered. Luckily, that’s far from the case.

For those in need of a replacement, look no further than our dazzling variety of Vape Pods from popular brands such as JUUL, SMOK, Voopoo, and more.

What are Vape Pods?

Vape pods are essentially compact containers that hold both the e-liquid and the heating element (coil) for specific types of vaping devices known as pod systems or pod mods. They are designed for simplicity and ease of use, often clicking or magnetically attaching to the vape device's battery section. Unlike traditional vape tanks, pods are typically specific to a particular device or device range. In compliance with UK regulations, all vape pods sold have a maximum e-liquid capacity of 2ml.

What Types of Vape Pods Are Available?

There are two main types of vape pods available:

  • Prefilled Pods: These come pre-loaded with e-liquid, typically nicotine salts. Nicotine salts often provide a smoother throat hit at higher nicotine concentrations compared to traditional freebase nicotine, making them popular for smokers transitioning to vaping. In the UK, prefilled pods are available in various strengths, but legally cannot exceed 20mg/ml (or 2%). Flavour options are determined by the manufacturer.
  • Refillable Pods: With these, you choose your own e-liquid. You can select from thousands of flavours and decide between nicotine salts or freebase nicotine. Refillable pods can have either a built-in coil or a removable coil.

How Long Does a Vape Pod Last?

The lifespan of a vape pod depends on several factors:

  • Prefilled Pods: These typically last 2-3 days for average users before needing replacement
  • Refillable Pods: The pod itself can last 2-4 weeks with proper maintenance
  • Usage: Heavy vaping will reduce pod life
  • E-liquid Type: Sweeter e-liquids may reduce coil life

What Type of E-liquid Should I Use With Refillable Pods?

When choosing e-liquid for refillable pods, pay attention to the VG/PG ratio. Most pod systems work best with thinner e-liquids, typically a 50/50 VG/PG ratio, although some sub-ohm style pods can handle slightly thicker liquids (e.g., 60VG/40PG or 70VG/30PG). Check the pod or device recommendations for the ideal e-liquid type.

Are Vape Pods Difficult to Maintain?

Vape pods are designed for simplicity:

  • Prefilled Pods: Require no maintenance - simply replace when empty
  • Refillable Pods:
    • Regular cleaning of the connection points
    • Proper filling technique to avoid leakage
    • Occasional pod replacement when performance decreases
    • Keep e-liquid levels above minimum to prevent dry hits

How Do I Know Which Pods Are Compatible With My Device?

Compatibility is crucial for pod systems:

  • Always check the specific make and model of your device
  • Look for pods explicitly designed for your device
  • Different manufacturers use different connection systems
  • Some brands offer cross-compatible pods, but these will be clearly stated

Purchasing pods not explicitly listed as compatible with your device will likely result in them not fitting or functioning correctly. If you are unsure, check the documentation that came with your vape device or the device's product page.
