Voopoo VINCI E120 Review

Voopoo’s VINCI vape kits are one of their flagship ranges, rivalling even their Doric and DRAG lines with a blend of simple MTL pens and powerful box mod and tank setups. Recently, Voopoo released the latest in the VINCI range, the VINCI E120 Kit.

An intriguing blend of box mod and acrylic PnP-X Cartridge, I’ve been keen to put it through its paces and see what it can do. There are already portable sub-ohm kits, after all. So, what has Voopoo done to make their new device stand apart from the growing crowd? You’ll soon find out in our Voopoo VINCI E120 review below

Review Summary: Voopoo’s VINCI E120 is a standout starter sub-ohm kit that strikes the perfect balance between battery longevity, a lightweight design, and ease of use.

👍 Good Fit For You If:

  • You are new to sub-ohm/DTL vaping and want an extremely easy-to-use device to transition with.
  • You prioritize massive battery life (4500mAh) in a surprisingly lightweight package.
  • You want significant cloud production from a convenient pod-style system (using PnP-X coils).
  • You prefer a simple, straightforward wattage-only experience without complex modes.
  • You appreciate a large, clear display screen for essential information.
  • You enjoy gamified elements like unlockable achievements or screen themes (like the clock faces).
  • You prefer devices with internal batteries rather than external ones.

❌ Look Elsewhere If:

  • You are an experienced sub-ohm vaper looking for advanced features like Temperature Control, Bypass mode, or custom power curves.
  • You strongly prefer or require draw-activation (this device is button-fire only).
  • You need a device where the maximum advertised wattage (120W) is fully utilized by readily available coils (current PnP-X coils max out lower).
  • You specifically want battery-saving modes like an Eco mode.
  • You find tinted pods difficult for monitoring e-liquid levels, especially in low light.
  • You need an IP-rated device for enhanced water/dust resistance.

Packaging and Labels

Photo collage showing the packaging and contents of the VINCI E120

The VINCI E120 Kit’s glossy packaging matches the trademark style of all of Voopoo’s recent kits.

  • The outer sleeve features an image of the VINCI E120 device on the front, allowing you to appreciate the snazzy build even before unboxing. Adjacent to this, the product name “Voopoo VINCI E120” is prominently displayed. A mandatory nicotine warning is also present, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Turning to the sides of the sleeve, one side is reserved for an authenticity hologram. The opposite side includes information on the device’s key features— the 4500mAh battery, the 120W maximum output, and the expansive 2.4-inch TFT display.
  • The back of the sleeve features a contents list and regulatory / safety information, including Voopoo’s contact details. There is also another large TPD health warning at the bottom.

Upon sliding off the outer sleeve and opening the box, you’re greeted with the spare parts box, which contains your USB-C charging cable, a pamphlet on PnP-X Coil compatibilities, and a spare 0.15ohm PnP-X Coil (the 0.3ohm coil is already in the pod).

Under this thin box, we find the Voopoo VINCI E120 device securely nestled within a foam insert to prevent movement during transit. The 2ml VINCI PnP-X DTL Cartridge is already in place, with a sticker over the coil’s base to prevent electrical connection.

Build Quality

Score: 4.5 out of 5

The Voopoo VINCI E120 Kit is built from aluminium alloy and polycarbonate materials, balancing lightweight and durability. Though not IP-rated durable, don’t get too excited.

It is 115mm x 23.6mm x 46.6mm and has a relatively compact ‘thin-slab’ shape suitable for daily carrying. Despite housing a substantial battery that we’ll discuss later, the device is notably lighter than many comparable high-capacity vapes.

The kit feels very precisely machined, with comfortable rounded edges and no creak or rattle sounds occurring when the device is clutched tightly.

The 2.4-inch TFT screen beneath the large firing button on the device’s ‘face’ offers clear visibility in various lighting conditions. It displays essential information:

  • Battery life
  • Power output
  • Coil resistance
  • Puff count
  • Puff time
  • Time of day

It’s easy to mistake a screen this size for a touch interface, but it’s just a standard large screen.

The left side of the kit features a very sizable airflow adjustment slider. In contrast, the other side features the charging port, lock-switch, and up/down buttons that you’ll use to control power outputs and navigate the digital menu.

The PnP X cartridge connects magnetically to the device. It is made from lightly tinted PCTG, which can be frustrating when gauging your juice levels or refilling in a poorly lit area.

The pod utilises a raised side filling system, making it possible to refill the pod without removing it from the device.

Performance

Score: 4 out of 5

In terms of performance, the VINCI E120 strikes a surprising balance between powerful outputs and user-friendliness. This review’s Ease of Use segment will address that second point more.

I expected a fairly chunky mod like this to feature some advanced user modes, but I found that the device only has a simple wattage range to explore. The kit is enhanced with Smart tech, which automatically sets the best wattage for a coil. But you’re then free to change the power yourself.

However, the kit prevents you from setting it at a power level that is likely to damage the coil.

Also, you better believe I was surprised by the lack of draw activation! I’m frankly not used to dragging on a Voopoo pod fruitlessly. But I did need to remind myself that this is intended as a sub-ohm device—the 120W output is a bit of a hint—and those are rarely draw-activated.

Pressing the two up/down buttons on the side takes you to a small menu with options to change the clock theme on the display, change the time and how long the device takes to put the screen to sleep.

Is this where I get to talk about the clock? Because I really want to talk about the clock.

SO! The VINCI E120’s massive screen features a huge clock, and you can change the clock theme in the device’s menu. The device has EIGHTEEN different clock designs, but you can only unlock them by passing puff milestones!

Now, I’ve always been open about finding screen themes a bit tiresome. A fad. A distraction. But Voopoo gamified a clock, and I’ve been puffing like an absolute mad lad trying to see what the next clock design will be!

I’m knocking a point off of Performance for two reasons: I feel that draw activation would have been nice, and I’m surprised by the lack of an Eco mode to extend the charge a bit.

Also, this is a minor issue, but the device boasts a 120W max output—very impressive! However, the lowest ohmage PnP-X Coil is 0.15ohm, which should only be used up to a max output of 80W.

Still, Voopoo may yet release even more powerful coils.

Ease of Use

Score: 5 out of 5

Now, here’s where that lack of advanced functions turns into an advantage for the E120—for new vapers, at least! Because the truth is that the VINCI E120 is a surprisingly simple kit to use.

I’ve reviewed a few sub-ohm pod kits recently, and while they were all built towards convenience and simplicity, the E120 blows them out of the water in terms of user-friendliness.

Big ol’ firing button. Big screen showing your output and some up/down buttons to adjust that.

Smart functionality to prevent accidentally firing high enough to burn your coil. And that’s it, beyond some clock customisations, that’s the whole shebang in terms of what it does.

A lot of vapers who want to advance from MTL vaping to DTL can find the sub-ohm kits intimidating. If that’s been the case for you, you MUST try the VINCI E120. It’s the path of least resistance to low-resistance vaping.

Battery Life

Score: 5 out of 5

Hooo, mamma! I haven’t got a single bad thing to say about the kit’s battery life. 4500mAh is frankly insane for an internal power cell. Even more stunning is the device’s carry weight. I do not know what deep, black sorceries Voopoo enacted to make a 4500mAh battery basically featherweight, but you will NOT find it weighing you down.

I think this, along with the ease of use, makes the VINCI E120 the very best possible choice for an inexperienced sub-ohm vaper. While external batteries are great, a newbie should ease in with a kit that’s familiar in terms of use.

Cloud Output

Score: 5 out of 5

Aiden trying the performance of the Vinci E120

The PnP-X Coils produce large clouds of vapour. The kit comes with two coils — 0.3ohms and the 0.15ohms. Both are superb at cloud production and can withstand high outputs and e-liquid quantities.

I was fairly surprised, as the included PnP-X Cartridge feels like an Argus Pod on the lip.

Getting such a mouthful of high-VG vapour from a fairly slim pod was a remarkable experience. That being said, I do like this new era of getting big cloud outputs without the use of fragile glass tanks.

Summary

Voopoo’s VINCI E120 is a standout starter sub-ohm kit that strikes the perfect balance between battery longevity, a lightweight design, and ease of use.

While I do think those with some sub-ohm experience may find the kit underwhelming, vapers desiring cloudy convenience will love this lightweight silver slab.
