The XLIM kits continue to arrive from OXVA, who show no signs of slowing down! The XLIM GO 2 was recently released as a follow-up to the original (and very good!) OXVA XLIM GO original, which stripped some functionality from the XLIM kit for a cheaper price and a streamlined user function.
Well, now I have the XLIM GO 2 resting in my palm, and this week I’ve been puffing away on it to see how good it is. Personally, I was a HUGE fan of the original XLIM GO, so I’m not only excited for this vape, but it also has some enormous shoes to fill in my eyes.

MIST’s Verdict
Review Summary: The OXVA XLIM GO 2 is an excellent follow-up to the original XLIM GO, with improved flavour, charge speeds, and battery capacity.
👍 Good Fit For You If:
- You are a new vaper or someone seeking the ultimate simple, fuss-free “puff and go” experience.
- You prioritize excellent, long-lasting battery life (1500mAh) and the convenience of fast charging.
- You want rich flavour from your pods, thanks to the upgraded coils.
- You prefer a lightweight yet sturdy device that is easy to carry and comfortable to hold.
- You value draw-activation only to avoid accidental button presses and complex controls.
- You still want adjustable airflow to fine-tune your draw, a feature often missing on basic kits.
❌ Look Elsewhere If:
- You are an advanced vaper who loves to customize settings, change screen themes, or use different power modes.
- You strongly prefer the premium feel of a metal or leather-wrapped device over a plastic one.
- You require a physical firing button and dislike draw-only devices.
- You need a screen to see your exact wattage and puff count.
- You are a sub-ohm vaper who needs a device with power output significantly higher than 30W.

Packaging and Labels

The OXVA XLIM Go 2 arrives in a thin cardboard box featuring a clear plastic window on the front, allowing you to see the device. The company logo, device name, and colour variant are all printed at the top of the box’s front, with a TPD health warning situated just under the viewing window.
One side of the box lists features of the kit, while the other side specifies which pod the kit comes with and also features an authenticity sticker. The back of the box features a brief description of the device, along with a contents list, health warnings, and contact information for OXVA.

With the box opened, the device is presented, held in place by a cutout. The single included pod is already in the device with a sticker on the base to prevent electrical connection. Being intended as a ‘cheaper’ device in the XLIM range, the kit doesn’t come with a USB-C cable.
Build Quality
Score: 4.5 out of 5
The XLIM GO 2 has a relatively light feel in the hand, having been made from a primarily plastic construction. This isn’t to say it’s flimsy, however! The kit has a good firmness, and, as someone who has clutched a fair few plastic vapes in a death grip before, I can confirm the device has no ‘creakiness’ to it. It doesn’t ‘flex’ in that unpleasant way that some budget vapes are prone to.

One immediately noticeable difference is that the cross-hatched pleather panels featured on the original XLIM GO are gone now! I was dismayed about this, as I really liked that covering. But, I do recognise that the design aspect got cannibalised into the original NeXLIM’s design, so it’s not like I can’t still enjoy an OXVA kit with the pleather now.

The front of the kit is relatively plain, with the OXVA ‘X’ symbol in the middle. This symbol lights up when a pod is inserted and when the device is used, to indicate how much battery charge is left. There’s a (hard to describe) ‘light sphere’ effect around the logo, which is a simple thing but catches my eye every time I look at it pleasantly.

The back of the kit is mostly featureless, save for an XLIM GO 2 logo at the bottom. The base of the kit features a rubberised patch to prevent scuffs when the kit is placed on a standing surface, which is always a nice touch.
The sides of the kit have a light ‘fluted’ effect that assists in gripping, with the airflow slider on one side and the charging port on the other.
Like the other XLIM GO (and, to be fair, many OXVA kits), the XLIM GO 2 lacks a firing button, instead operating solely through draw-activation.

The XLIM pods return with their comfortable mouthpieces, easy refills, and now a revitalised coil structure built with OXVA’s UniTech 2.0 atomiser designs. What all that science stuff means is more flavour and longer-lasting OXVA coils for you and me.
Performance
Score: 5 out of 5
The XLIM GO 2 has a simple but effective and satisfying performance. As mentioned previously, it’s draw-activation only, so there are no buttons to press and the device will automatically assign the optimal wattage for your chosen coil, with a maximum output of 30W.
And in truth, it does everything it needs to! It’s a puff & go style of machine (I mean GO is in the name and everything!) and it doesn’t need to weigh you down with a bunch of extra features.
If you want adjustments and customisations, then check out the NeXLIM or XLIM SQ Pro 2 kits from OXVA. But if you’re looking for fuss-free…
Ease of Use
Score: 5 out 5
…Then fuss-free is what you get! That lack of extra features and modes serves to make it clear and straightforward to understand that the XLIM GO 2 is intended for a casual vaper who does not CARE about the minutiae of their in-the-moment vaping specs and readouts. You don’t want to customise the device; you want to set a screen theme or animation, you want something you can puff on for quick nicotine relief.
And that’s precisely what the OXVA XLIM GO 2 offers you.
Battery Life
Score: 4.8 out of 5

Now here’s an excellent improvement! While the original XLIM GO had a 1000mAh battery, the XLIM GO 2 contains a 1500mAh cell instead! That’s a full 50% charge increase, and believe me, you’ll notice that extra power when you realise you haven’t charged it in two days and it’s doing great.
What’s more, OXVA also included 2A charge speeds in the kit, so even when depleted, the battery won’t be out of the running for long once you find a charging port.
Flavour Output
Score: 4.7 out of 5

The aforementioned UniTech 2.0 coil tech is certainly doing its job well in the XLIM pods because the flavour produced is magnificent. Clear and rich, without any noticeable adulterants from the wicking materials used.
The device itself doesn’t have any flavour-promoting ‘modes’ like some advanced mods might. Still, if you’re keen enough on a small budget-range vape pen to make it this far down the review, I very much doubt you care too much about the device lacking a temperature control or pulse function.
Great flavour, easy refills, what else could you need?
Summary
The OXVA XLIM GO 2 is an excellent follow-up to the original XLIM GO, with improved flavour, charge speeds, and battery capacity. It’s an excellent choice for both new vapers and vapers who don’t care about the nitty-gritty aspects of nicotine delivery. A simple, casual vape pen for those who enjoy a convenient puff.
The MIST Favourite Feature:
- Bigger Battery: Increasing the battery capacity from 1000mAh to 1500mAh was a masterstroke and gives the XLIM GO 2 a massively increased lifespan between charges.
