Doozy Infinity Pod Vape Review

Doozy, which began as a British freebase e-liquid manufacturer, are expanding rapidly! Nicotine gum, nic salts, shortfills, and now a vape kit! The Doozy Infinity is the first vaping device released by these renowned juice makers, and this week I’ve been putting one through its paces.

I’m going to try and determine whether Doozy have another ace up its sleeve, or whether they should stick to the juicing.

MIST’s Verdict

Review Summary: The Doozy Infinity is a surprisingly satisfying little unit! It may not be a cloud-chaser’s go-to kit, but those looking for something to fill that gap left by disposables will love its simple build and functionality.

Review Disclosure: Doozy have supplied MIST with the Infinity kit for this review. My thoughts and opinions are not influenced by the brand.

Packaging and Labels

The Doozy Infinity kit arrived in a small cardboard box with a clear plastic window on the left-hand side, displaying the device within. To the right of the cutout is a Doozy Infinity logo with the tagline “Endless Flavour.” At the base of the box’s front is a TPD health warning.

The box art is quite eye-catching and funky in its patterning, which I’m surprised to realise is a rare consideration.

One side of the box features a picture of the device above a scannable QR code, and the other side lists the device’s features. The back of the box displays features, health warnings, and contact information for Doozy.

Inside the box, the kit is contained in a white plastic insert, with the paper manual placed underneath. The sole pod that the kit comes with is ready inserted into the device, with a sticker preventing electrical connection.

Build Quality

Score: 4.2 out of 5

The kit is surprisingly nice in the palm. It’s VERY small, measuring at 84mm x 26mm x 15mm and smaller than I remember most disposable vapes being. And partly that’s because it keeps things simple in terms of design, with no superfluous bells and whistles to add weight and bulk where it isn’t wanted.

I’m not entirely sure what the Infinity is built from, but it feels like a low-weight alloy, possibly zinc or aluminium. Either way, it’s reasonably durable and won’t weigh you down at all.

The device features pleasantly smooth edges and a black bar in the centre of the face and back of the kit, bearing a Doozy Infinity logo. In fact, the only thing differentiating the front from the back is a small LED at the base of the face, which indicates battery charge.

The USB-C charging port is on the base of the device, and two small air holes are drilled into the sides of the kit near the pod.

The pod itself is nicely constructed, featuring a comfortable mouthpiece and a sturdy rubber hatch for easy refilling.

While the kit is a little… plain? There’s nonetheless something comforting about the design of it. It feels compact, not small. I don’t detect any fragility from it, either.

The lack of adjustable airflow is a bit concerning to me, but it’s not enough to detract from the device’s overall build.

Performance

Score: 4.2 out of 5

So let’s talk performance! This isn’t likely to be a particularly long section, if you get what I’m driving at.

The Doozy Infinity is a very bare-bones piece of kit in terms of operation. Wait, don’t leave; that’s not a criticism. In fact, in many ways, it’s a feature. See, the Doozy Infinity feels very much like a disposable replacement to me.

With this in mind, consider a vaper who was recently a disposable vape user. They miss that old satisfaction. They aren’t keen on kits laden with features, menus and extras. The Doozy Infinity will provide this vaper with an experience remarkably similar to using a disposable vape, but at a significantly greater value and with the option to choose your flavours and strengths.

Ease of Use

Score: 5 out of 5

And this leads very nearly to a complimentary ease-of-use section! There aren’t any parts of the Doozy Infinity you’re likely to get wrong. You can’t press the wrong buttons on a buttonless machine. The airflow won’t get stuck, because it’s not an option.

The only thing you can get wrong is forgetting to charge it, firing an empty pod, or trying to use high VG e-liquid in it. And while there are still sadly no failsafes to prevent these unfortunate circumstances from happening, Doozy has done its best to strip out anything that could cause you problems.

Battery Life

Score: 3.8 out of 5

Now, here’s a low note for me. 650mAh is, well, not brilliant. That’s the same charge vapes had back around 2010, and it’s about the size of a 2ml disposable vape’s battery. The difference being that you can charge it, of course.

Now, this isn’t too horrific. If a former disposable fan is using this device, then there’s no problem! It’s as much of a charge as they remember having, AND they can recharge it! Result!

Buuut those with a little more vaping experience might find 650mAh to be a little on the paltry side, and it’s not likely to withstand a solid day of chain vaping.

Flavour Output

Score: 4.3 out of 5

The flavour output is excellent! I was surprised, to be honest, as I wasn’t expecting a juice manufacturer to reveal such clear coil knowledge, but I’ll admit I was wrong here as the Doozy Infinity pods are great!

The flavour is clear and rich, and while maybe not quite at the level of some legacy brands, they’re still excellently designed and don’t put nasty additional tastes into your juice. So, well done, Doozy!

Summary

The Doozy Infinity is a surprisingly satisfying little unit! It may not be a cloud-chaser’s go-to kit, but those looking for something to fill that gap left by disposables will love its simple build and functionality.

The MIST Favourite Feature

Doozy Pods: I like the pods on the Infinity! The flavour is vibrant and tasty, and the mouthpieces are brilliantly shaped for maximum comfort!
