Pyne Pod Click 10K Prefilled Pod Kit

One of the advantages offered by prefilled pod kits is that you can, through some clever bottle and pod positioning, circumvent the 2ml e-liquid restriction imposed by the TPD. Pyne Pod clearly saw an opening, and by God, did they charge through it with their new Pyne Pod Click 10K Prefilled Pod Kit.

Ten thousand puffs is quite the boast, so this week, I’ve been getting to grips with the Click 10K Kit to see whether it’s as good as some other prefilled kits made by better-known manufacturers. Who knows, maybe Pyne Pod is the prefilled pod kit dark horse? Read on to find out!

Packaging and Labels 

The Pyne Pod Click 10K Prefilled Pod Kit arrives in a large glossy box with a colour indicating the flavour of the included pod.

• The front of the box shows the company logo and an exploded diagram of the device in front of a “10K”, indicating the puff count of the pod. The flavour of the pod in just beneath the diagram, and the TPD health warning is beneath the flavour.
• One side of the box has an authenticity hologram and an illustrating of the device’s battery, indicating the 730mAh charge capacity. The other side lists features such as the screen variety, puff count, coil design, etc.
• The back of the box lists the contents, ingredients, manufacturer contact information and another TPD health warning.
• The base of the box lists the batch number of the e-liquid within. The Pink Purple Lemonade box I’m looking at states “Batch No.: 05122024.”

Inside the box, you’ll find:

• A pamphlet explaining how to assemble the kit, along with a card showcasing the other flavours available.
• The battery, pod, and e-liquid bottle are each wrapped in respective plastic sleeves. The pod’s base contains a removable rubber stopper that needs to be pulled out and disposed of when you insert the e-liquid bottle.

Build Quality

The design of the Click 10K Kit is MAGNIFICENT, and I do not use that word lightly.

It’s surprisingly palm-friendly despite looking large, and all three aspects of the kit are well put together. The battery is quick, responsive and easy to understand, with a frankly gorgeous cyberpunk design that combines visible circuit boards and graffiti-style text over neon lighting. This is the vape I’d use if I had a job in Neo-Los-Angeles hunting down combat-model replicants.

The bottle is perfectly shaped for insertion into the pod, clicking in very satisfyingly. The mouthpiece on the pod is also exceptional, flattened for comfort and made from coloured translucent acrylics for style points.

The battery indicator OLED on the front of the battery is also very clear and easy to read, meaning you’re unlikely to be caught unaware without any charge.

Performance

Score: 5 out of 5

In terms of performance, the Click 10K is simple yet very effective and has a feature that makes the device seem very advanced. Very deceptive, and it’s not to any detriment, so I fully approve!

The kit does feature a button, but it’s draw-activated. So, what’s the button for? Switching modes of course, dear reader.

The device has two modes of function: Regular and Boost modes. Regular mode fires at around 10W, whereas Boost instantly ramps up to around 20W. You can immediately notice the difference in vapour production, and it’s great for a kit like this to include Mode switching features.

Now, there’s no airflow control slider. Ordinarily, this is a real black mark in my books. But. The Click 10K is, in my view, an impressive enough device to get away with a slight issue that most won’t notice. On top of that, the airflow isn’t particularly restrictive or overly airy. It’s a nice balance, and that’s enough for me with this kit.

Battery Life

The device’s battery is decent enough, though, to be completely honest, I was a little surprised that it’s only 730mAh. Considering the size of the battery unit, I think it would have been manageable to crack that capacity up a little to match most refillable MTL pod kits these days, even if it didn’t quite reach 1000mAh.

But 730mAh does a reasonable enough job of fuelling your fun. However, if you intend to use the device in Boost mode all day, you might want to keep a charging cable handy. But in a worst-case scenario of no charge, you can get it fully back on its feet in just 30 minutes, so it’s not a battery likely to cause frustration, just one I feel that could have improved upon slightly.

Ease of Use

Score: 5 out of 5

Initially, I was a little concerned that the assembly might be somewhat intimidating to an inexperienced vaper, but the truth is it’s extremely simple to put together. There’s a very clear and legible assembly diagram included with the kit, and to be honest, it’s all pretty intuitive.

The bottle fits perfectly into the base of the pod, and the magnetic connections on the pod and battery are so symmetrical that only users with especially poor eyesight will have any problem figuring out how it snaps together.

And once it’s done, you’re ready to go! Draw activated puffs, no need to worry about new e-liquid for the next 10,000 puffs, and the display clearly shows both the charge level and which mode you’ve selected.

There just isn’t anything that can go wrong!

If you find the 10,000 puffs isn’t enough for your needs (hey, we’re not judging!), Pyne Pod informed us that they will be launching the Pyne Pod Click 50k very soon! It’s essentially the same device but bundled with three pods.

Mr. Blue

Score: 5 out of 5

Ah, Mr. Blue. I’ve been vaping for years, and it’s so interesting to be able to chart the course of a ‘cool mixed berry with a blue theme’ flavour that initially took its name from a popular crime drama you probably watched. Had ‘berg’ in the name. You know what I mean.

Mr. Blue is a delectable take on a classic blend, though the name might confuse the uninitiated. What you’re getting is a collection of tart, sweet berries that cool the airways with every puff. Tangy and tasty, but not so sweet as to frustrate or linger. An instant winner.

Lemon Lime

Score: 5 out of 5

Faultless. Now I may just be a simple vape wrangler in these parts, but I’ve tried any and all Lemon Lime combos you can think of. And partner, this is one of the best ones.

The lemon flavour is sweet and perfumed, with a gorgeous, searing sugar to it. Meanwhile, the lime has a rough and rindy approach, a beast to meet the lemon’s beauty, and together it’s a match made in the celestial kingdom of citrus.

Pink Purple Lemonade

Score: 4.5 out of 5

Pink Purple Lemonade, though it may sound strange, put a carnival in my mouth. It’s hard to explain, but it just TASTES colourful, a vibrant symphony of sweet, dazzling berries all plunged into a mesmerising pool of sparkling citrus soda.

I will admit it’s VERY sweet, and those who enjoy a more moderate, session-friendly flavour might find it crackles their taste buds a little with its sugary onslaught. But sweet-toothed vapers are going to absolutely adore this one!

Summary

The Pyne Pod Click 10K Prefilled Pod Kit is an incredible device, somehow more exciting than a number of other prefilled pod kits. Perhaps it’s the brilliant aesthetics of the kit, the easy assembly, the great flavour it produces. In truth, it’s all of these elements, adding together to put an easy-to-use device in your hand that you can quickly grow enthusiastic about.

The MIST Favourite Feature: 

• Bottle Insertion: Okay, that might sound a bit dull, but hear me out; a LOT of prefilled pod kits are fiddly. Rickety. They don’t always connect well. Every single aspect of the bottle, pod, and battery in the Click 10K has been expertly designed to feel ‘right’ together. Believe me, the first time you slide the bottle into the pod section, you’ll know what I mean.
