Our Review Process
At MIST, we don’t just look at vape device specifications and call it a day. Our review process involves a thorough hands-on test.
We spend up to two weeks testing a kit, mod, tank, or vape juice in controlled and real-world scenarios to ensure whether or not a vape brand’s claims are valid.
We also consider customer feedback, as we firmly believe that the testimony of regular people cuts through any industry marketing and gets right to the heart of what makes a vape satisfying or disappointing for everyday use.
Our Review Scoring System and Awards
Every product that we review has five scoring factors, which we score from 1 to 10. These factors can vary depending on the topic.
For instance, for mods and kits, we use battery life, performance, build quality, user-friendliness, and price, while we rate vape juices for their flavour, cloud production, strength, size, and price.
Our review also highlights three key features for each product reviewed, aspects of the item that make it stand out above the crowd, along with pros and cons to provide a balanced overview of the item.
We also award each item for what it does best than the other products featured, such as Best For Value, Best For Clouds, etc.
Our Honest, Unbiased Review
We pride ourselves on providing an honest and unbiased review. We are not affiliated with any brands and purchase the items we review ourselves to maintain impartiality.
While we generally select products to review that we believe customers will enjoy, we do not shy away from highlighting faults or disappointing aspects of any item reviewed.
Our reviews are updated annually to reflect the new generation of vaping hardware.
We also have a Youtube channel where we post many videos which support our written reviews, as showing the device in motion and use is one of the most informative ways of demonstrating its strengths.

Position: Director
Fred Cassman is a passionate and experienced leader in the vaping industry, boasting over 10 years of personal vaping experience. As an avid vaper and firm believer in vaping as a healthier alternative to smoking, Fred is responsible for guiding the company’s strategic direction, operational activities, and innovative marketing efforts.
Name: Aiden Aitken
Position: Content Producer
Aiden Aitken is responsible for product descriptions, blog writing, and video production. Aiden has been vaping since 2012, primarily MTL but with some sojourns in the sub-ohm sector, and is a passionate advocate for vaping as the best way to quit smoking.
Name: Hannah Gregorio
Position: Content Manager
Hannah Gregorio used to smoke two packs of cigarettes until she discovered vaping. Now smoke-free, she enjoys discovering new eliquids, boro devices, AIOs, and MTL vapes. Professionally, Hannah is a journalism graduate and is responsible for content direction and management at MIST.

Position: E-commerce Executive
Otis is responsible for making sure the tech side of the website is running correctly. He also keeps our company information up to date.

Position: Inventory Manager
Antonia has been with MIST for the past eight years. She is responsible for procuring products for the website, a task which requires her to stay up-to-date with industry trends and work closely with suppliers to negotiate deals and secure the best possible prices.
Name: Christine
Position: Mail Order and Warehouse Manager
Christine oversees all the online orders from picking to dispatch. She also makes sure the warehouse is kept in order and stock is put away in its correct place.
