IVG has recently set the non-smoking world ablaze with the release of its nicotine pouch range. These pouches, loaded with powerful nicotine and mixed flavourings, offer smokers an alternative to both cigarettes and vape kits.
While my experience solely lies in vaping, I’ve reviewed – and have been impressed by – IVG vaping products before. They have a great mastery of flavour, as I saw in their Bar Favourites and IVG 6000 ranges of e-liquids. So, I’m excited to give these pouches a chance to impress me.

MIST’s Verdict
Review Summary: The IVG Nicotine Pouches are a tasty and very powerful means of getting your nicotine relief. The taste is as good as their bar salts, which is high praise indeed.
Review Disclosure: IVG provided us with the nicotine pouches for this review. However, the brand’s generosity did not, in any way, influence our review.

Packaging and Labels

The IVG Nicotine Pouches arrive in flat plastic ‘cans’ much like other brands of nic pouches. The cans are very lightweight, with a big IVG logo on the top above the pouch’s flavour.
The top also lists the nicotine strength of the pouches you’re holding. The side of the can lists the flavour again, alongside an authenticity QR code and a TPD-compliant health warning. The base of the can lists ingredients and more health warnings regarding the addictive properties of nicotine.
A charming touch is a false lid to the can, which can be popped open to either dispose of a pouch or temporarily store one you’re currently using.
Flavour
Score: 4.5 out of 5

IVG sent me five cans of pouches, one for each flavour available. Each can sent to me contains 20 nicotine pouches with 15mg nicotine dosages. The pouches are also available in 20mg and 35mg strengths, though these would have been a bit powerful for me, so I’m grateful for the lower dosage.
The available flavours are as follows:
- Cola
- Mango
- Spearmint
- Ice Mint
- Strawberry
Cola
Score: 3.5 out of 5

IVG’s Cola pouches lean more towards the classic ‘cola cubes’ style of old-school botanical sweets than they do towards beverage notes. And the effect is charming, with a sweet round flavour and a hint of rich and fiery spice.
Those who get a bit overwhelmed by sweet flavours may find this a little too flavoursome, however, as it feels like sucking a boiled sweet that won’t melt.
Mango
Score: 4 out of 5

Luscious and floral, the Mango pouches are very sweet and tasty. Whereas the Cola pouches had a bit of a spiced note, the Mango variants are instead a bit lighter and less intense, though still very sweet.
The mango taste is clear and vibrant, like IVG’s mango-flavoured vape juices. Fans of fruity vapes will enjoy this, though they could expand the range with some fruity blends.
Spearmint
Score: 4 out of 5

The Spearmint pouch has a sharpness the fruity flavours lack, which significantly adds to the stimulating effect of the nicotine. It’s a unique experience to be receiving menthol-flavoured nicotine relief without any throat or chest ‘hits’, but this could make nicotine pouches all the more approachable to those who dislike a rasping throat hit.
Ice Mint
Score: 4.5 out of 5

Ice Mint is similar to Spearmint but has a noticeable difference in the overall flavour profile. Ice Mint, as the name suggests, has a bit of a frostier edge to it and tastes as though it focuses on spicy peppermint rather than sharp spearmint.
There’s also the faintest hint of candy, making Ice Mint taste remarkably similar to several popular chewing gums. But don’t chew these pouches!
Strawberry
Score: 4.5 out of 5

The Strawberry pouches are bursting with a rich berry flavour that took me a bit by surprise! Sweet and juicier than the mango pouches, the Strawberry flavour balances authentic berry flavour and a hint of sugary jam, making that slow-release nicotine hit all the more enjoyable.
Again, those who dislike sweet flavours should consider sticking to Spearmint, as Strawberry is riotously sugary.
Effect
Score: 5 out of 5

Honestly, I went into this experiment with some scepticism. I’m a career vaper, and that’s my nic method. Pouches didn’t seem like they were for me. But I have to admit, the nicotine satisfaction is potent with these pouches.
It isn’t the usual ‘hit’ of satisfaction you get from vaping and smoking; it’s more of a steady stream of effect, like a new baseline added to your senses. I imagine this is what patches feel like, though oral absorption is likely much faster than dermal.
So if you’re concerned that the pouches might not be ‘strong’ enough for you, let me assure you: as an all-day mid-strength vaper, the lowest strength pouches gave me a significant and noticeable effect, during which I had no desire to pick up my vape.
And that was surprising!
Comfort
Score: 3 out of 5
Here’s the downside, for me at least. I’ll admit, I’m brand new to nic pouches, and the first cola one I tucked into the space between my gum and cheek was initially quite uncomfortable. An icy sensation was in the side of my face, which briefly spread to behind my eye.
After about 2 minutes, all the discomfort subsided, and I found the space containing the pouch grew numb, and I could fully enjoy the sensation.
Summary
I think that the IVG nicotine pouches provide a great alternative to smoking. I’m going to be honest; I’m still a vaper at heart, and I don’t feel like putting down my bar salts just yet.
However, those either put off by inhaled nicotine methods or desiring a form of nicotine relief that can be enjoyed at work, on a plane, or standing in the intensive care unit will find IVG’s pouches a godsend packed full of potent nicotine.
