The XLIM 3 Ultra is a big upgrade for the XLIM line. It’s the most technically impressive MTL (Mouth-to-Lung, a vaping style that simulates drawing on a cigarette) pod kit I’ve yet encountered, and the 2.2” touch-screen interface is a smooth, intuitive dream to navigate. As a matter of fact, I loved it so much I named it one of 2025’s very best refillable kits in the recent MIST Vape Awards.

Packaging
OXVA’s XLIM 3 Ultra Kit arrives boxed and wrapped in a black-and-red sleeve. A window on the left of the front shows the kit itself, with logos and branding across the rest of the front. The sleeve lists the kit features, and the back of the box shows the contents and contact info for OXVA.
After removing the sleeve, we see the device held in place, with a box beside it containing the charging cable and a spare XLIM pod.
Design and Build Quality

The XLIM 3 Ultra has a slightly bulkier shape and feel than the previous XLIM kits, though not to an obnoxious degree, weighing in at around 90g. The ‘face’ of the kit has been lengthened noticeably, for reasons that will become clear soon.
The air slider stud is well placed and moves easily, and there’s even a dedicated lock switch on the side to prevent you from pocket firing when the kit’s in your pocket.
The charging port is on the base of the unit. I’ll be honest, I quite like a side-position for the port, as I sometimes stand my kit up when charging it, but this is the pettiest issue imaginable, so pay it no mind.
The XLIM pods are also among my favourites on the market right now. Well built for comfort and easy puffing, the raised side-fill port—a small opening on the pod’s side for adding liquid—makes them easy to refill without removing them from the kit, and the flavour remains rich and clear as ever.
Features and Overall Performance
So, regarding the front of the kit, why the long face? Because it was needed in order to make room for the mind-blower 2.2” HD touchscreen interface! I’ve used a fair few vapes with touchscreens, and I’m happy to say the XLIM 3 Ultra is one of the very best I’ve encountered.

The graphics are crisp and colourful, the touch sensitivity is responsive and reactive, and the screen itself has been well arranged to help you navigate it easily. I found the ‘swipe up’ screen unlock very easy to remember, and the functions are well arranged, in my opinion.

By swiping left, you enter the wattage selection screen, where you can adjust the device’s power output in watts.

By swiping right, you enter the puff tracker, which displays the number of times the device has been used.

Swiping up and down allows you to customise screen themes and animations, and access a larger menu that lets you adjust screen brightness and layout, activate power-saving modes to extend battery life, and perform other setup tasks for the device.
I won’t hesitate to say that the OXVA XLIM 3 Ultra’s touch interface is as smooth, responsive and sophisticated as a modern smartphone screen. There’s a lovely snappiness to the movements that most other touchscreen vapes can’t quite achieve. And to me, that’s one of those little details that leaves a big impression.
Ease of Use
Now, I would call the Ease of Use a middling point. You can’t cater to everyone, after all, though the XLIM 3 Ultra does try to. In terms of pick-up-and-puff, the kit *is* intuitive and has very responsive auto-draw functionality. If you’ve used a previous XLIM kit, the XLIM 3 Ultra would feel very familiar in your hand.
And again, I’ll stress that the swipe-left/swipe-right methods for entering and exiting the power adjustment screen are very simple.
But I’ll admit that a brand new vaper, who’s never used a vape kit before, is likely to find the menus quite confusing, particularly if they’ve just come off cigarettes.
Admittedly, the extra customisation features aren’t necessary if you just want a no-fuss puff machine. So one might choose to look at the XLIM 3 Ultra as a device that grows with you: simple at first, with menus to further personalise it once you feel confident enough to dip into the technical aspects (which, again, I stress, you can just ignore).
Battery Life
The battery life of the XLIM 3 Ultra is one of the very few areas where I think OXVA could have done slightly better, given the current (very improved!) state of vape batteries. 1500mAh is… fine. It’s alright. It’ll manage.

And I can’t, in good conscience, make this criticism without mentioning that there’s a very easy-to-activate Eco mode for the kit, which significantly reduces power consumption from screen and lighting features without impacting the kit’s performance.
Perhaps OXVA were so confident in their Super Pulse System Chipset, which regulates device functions and provides consistent flavour and power regardless of battery charge, that they felt adding more weight with a larger battery was not worth the gamble. Ultimately, people want pod kits to be portable, not miniature dumbbells.
So, with some slight side-eye, I’ll admit that the 1500mAh does a fine job in the XLIM 3 Ultra.
Flavour Output
Absolutely zero negative things to say about the kit’s flavour output! The XLIM pods use mesh coils, which are fine metal wires shaped into a mesh to increase surface area, and UniTech-designed wicks, which are absorbent materials that draw in e-liquid for vaporisation. These features absorb and atomise e-liquid at a steady, even rate. This results in a clear, crisp flavour that won’t muddle or become inconsistent, and the pods usually last for 2 to 4 weeks without issue.
While there aren’t modes on the kit to impact the flavour, that’s not something expected from what is ultimately an MT (Mouth-to-Lung)L pod kit, so no need for serious point dockings there.
Do I recommend this vape?
I believe that any experienced MTL vaper will find the OXVA XLIM 3 Ultra Kit absolutely wonderful to use. Again, I have named it one of 2025’s very best refillable kits in the recent MIST Vape Awards.
And while I think a brand-new vaper might find some menu aspects initially confusing, modern users will be used to conveniences like touchscreens, so my concerns are likely based on my being an older, longtime vaper.
Ultimately, I think the OXVA XLIM 3 Ultra Kit is the best XLIM kit I’ve used yet, and I’m super excited for what OXVA has in store for 2026!
